No name 8GB USB Stick Repair, with AU6989SNL/AU6989SN-GTA Controller

I received a Red no name 8GB USB stick with two partitions that cannot be combined because one of the partitions was write protected. Partition Master and MiniTool Partition Wizard Professional were both unable to merge them.

I used ChipGenius to extract the info about this usb:
Protocal Version: USB 2.00
Current Speed: High Speed
Max Current: 200mA
USB Device ID: VID = 058F PID = 6387
Serial Number: 86BECCFEAADE07182290
Device Vendor: Generic
Device Name: Mass Storage
Device Revision: 0101
Manufacturer: Generic/Generic
Product Model: Flash Disk/Flash Disk
Product Revision: 8.08/8.09
Controller Vendor: Alcor Micro
Controller Part-Number: AU6989SNL/AU6989SN-GTA [EF01] - F/W FA00
Flash ID code: ECDE94F3 - Samsung - 1CE/Single Channel [MLC] -> Total Capacity = 8GB
I went to the usbdev.ru website and after several attempts, I discovered the correct version of ALCOR MP software to recover the USB stick. The correct version was ALCOR MP v16.06.07.00, which you can download from that link.
By the way, after recovering, the usb stick has 6.6GB, which is significantly less than the original due to too many bad blocks encountered during the recovery.
